About The Cramer Family Mountain Inn
Cramer Family Mountain Inn:
A History
The story of the Big Red Brick Home in Snow Shoe is one of family, history, and revitalization. For generations, this landmark residence was the heart of the Kelley, McLaughlin, and Cramer families. Built in the early 20th century, it served as a cherished home filled with memories, laughter, and love. The house stood as a testament to the families’ deep roots in the community.
Sadly, as time passed, the Big Red Brick Home eventually sat vacant for over a decade. The once vibrant house fell into disrepair, a silent reminder of its former glory. The community mourned the loss of the house, as the house had such deep ties to the community. The house was once again up for sale in 2022.
In 2022, a new chapter began when the Cramer family repurchased the Big Red Brick Home. Driven by a desire to honor their family history and revitalize a community landmark, they embarked on an ambitious project: to transform the house into the Cramer Family Mountain Inn, a charming bed and breakfast with a gift shop. The news of the purchase was met with excitement and hope, as the restoration would bring back life to the community.

Who you will see around the Inn
Since we are a family owned and operated B&B, you could see multiple faces during your stay. Most likely Tricia and Gary Fox will be working in our gift shop and greeting you throughout your stay. Ryan and Jacque Cramer will check in from time to time and Fulton and Loretta Fox will be helping out as needed.
Other places you might find us are out on the trails in our side by side or riding our eBikes, attending Penn State athletics events such as football and hockey or at the State College Spikes baseball games. Our family loves antique shopping in Bellefonte and the surrounding areas. Some of the furniture and decorative pieces are treasures we found during those adventures.
